Food Safety & Operational Analyst

FOOD SAFETY & OPERATIONAL ANALYST – REGINA & ROWATT, SK

Avena Foods is recruiting a full-time, Food Safety and Quality Assurance Assistant for its expanding business in milled oats. This role contributes to Avena’s Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (FSQMS) for oat ingredients at its Rowatt facility. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with food safety documentation, facilitating audits, tracking Food Safety Key Performance Indicators on a monthly/annual basis, and reviewing Production daily package and other FSMS records for accuracy and completeness.

The successful applicant will be knowledgeable with regard to prevalent food safety and quality programs, organized and results oriented.  You must also have the interpersonal and communication skills to work well with diverse personality types including colleagues and external resources such as auditors. Other necessary attributes include the ability to self-verify and ensure accuracy, ability to meet schedules and deadlines, including overtime as required. Expected results include successful outcomes for all Food Safety and Quality Management System audits by third party certifying bodies or customer FSQMS personnel.
