Job Summary: To assist residents with daily routines and activities of daily living, including recreational support. The role does not include the provision of personal care to the residents.

Qualifications:

·         Grade Twelve (12) required or equivalent.

·         Preference for experience or education in recreation or healthcare

·         Previous experience in a long-term care facility, senior home, or group home will be considered an asset

·         Good interpersonal skills

·         Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.

·         Good oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to work shift work

·         Must have sound interpersaonl, problem-solving, and organizational skills

·         Compassion, integrity, maturity, respect and a positive attitude are essential attributes

·         Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check and clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

Salary Range: In accordance with current collective agreement between Ocean View Continuing Care Centre and CUPE Local 1245.

Rotation: Weekends / Days / Evenings / Holidays; May be changed as necessary to meet the operational requirements of the facility.
