Web Designer

We seek a highly motivated individual with solid experience in Web design, In-game assets design and Advertising assets design.
This is a fulltime, salaried position with competitive benefits.
KOG Games is the online game publisher of the successful action MMORPG title “Elsword” and the soon to released title “HeroWarz”. Located in Irvine, California, KOG Games is looking for local candidates only.
The successful candidate will perform the day to day Web Designing tasks as well as develop and execute multiple aspects of KOG Games’ overall design and marketing strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take complete ownership of the company web designs, and new feature design process from start to finish
• Work with different teams to clearly identify, design and produce web design updates as needed, exceeding our players’ expectations
• Responsible for In-game asset design and Advertising asset design
• Produce art images and layouts that stay true to the style and rich history of each game
• Stay focused on the KOG Games brand and create consistent images for our portal and the game websites
• Work to stay current on the design trends of the gaming industry, while learning the latest software and technical tools for web designs
• Work with cross-functional teams to lead brainstorming sessions, and lead other designers by example. Must work by the KOG Values of Customer Focus and Constant Improvement
• Handle other related duties as assigned
• Produce reports and other metrics as required
• Show leadership skills, work hard and meet demanding deadlines
Knowledge/Skills
• Online/Video Game Industry Experience
• Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, In Design, Quark, Word and Excel
• Must be organized, accurate and creative with the ability to illustrate in a deadline driven environment
• Excellent understanding of the Manga/Anime universe and able to provide portfolio of Manga/Anime stylized artwork.
• Excellent oral and written and communication skills, including presentations
• Must have the ability to create layouts and graphics using the appropriate software
• Must possess excellent design, time management, layout, communication and organizational skills
• Experienced in designing and coding Flash banners a big plus.
• Experience in video editing and production with Adobe Premiere a big plus.
• Experience with HTML, Dreamweaver, CSS, jQuery a plus
• Must be flexible and learn our company’s very distinct culture and company values.
• Experienced in creating detailed reporting.
