You’ll work as part of an inspiring plant-based product development team where you will be exposed to all aspects of new product development, supporting the creation of new recipe ideas, and translating these into market leading products.

You’ll assist the Product Development Manager and team throughout the entire product development cycle. You will also support Sales & Marketing with food related activities.

Key duties:

Assisting with all tasks from conceptualization to launch:

·         Brainstorming & ideation

·         Data entry, maintaining records and product development documentation.

·         Researching the market, plant-based food trends and technologies.

·         Sourcing new raw materials and packaging.

·         Analysing consumer research results to provide direction for development.

·         Continuous improvement projects.

·         Working with quality team to implement key quality checks for all products.

·         Supporting our development chef with testing, trialling, and refining recipes to ensure they meet the project brief     (commercial targets/brand values, nutritional targets)

·         Coordinating and conducting sensory evaluations of products throughout product shelf life.

·         Supporting the production team with scale up trials and first production of new products.

·         Researching and testing new ingredients to understand potential and functionality.

·         Keeping the work area clean and tidy and in good working order. Maintaining and organizing R&D samples and kitchen.

·         Preparing samples for testing, sampling, customer presentations and events.

The person:

The role will suit an innovative and passionate food technologist/food science graduate who is looking for their first step into the world of product innovation and development. No day is the same at TMRW, we are rapidly growing and are looking for an energetic, driven person that will thrive in this fast-paced environment.

This position is linked to the Canadian Youth Funding Program, so the successful candidate must meet all the following requirements:

•between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive);

•a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada;

•legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations;

•a first-time participant in a Youth Employment Strategy work experience program targeted at post-secondary graduates; and

•a post-secondary graduate
