Description
Seeking a Quality Control Inspector for small CNC Machining facility. Our facility is an AS9100C and ITAR registered manufacturer. We manufactures components in support of the Department of Defense, directly or first tier subprime, as well as for commercial markets.

Essential Duties and Job Requirements
• Extensive knowledge and use of common inspection measurement tools such as: calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, gage pins, bore gages, optical comparator, CMM, height gages, profilometers, Go/NoGo gages, and ensures correct methods, tools, and criteria are used for inspection.
• Familiar with AS9100 Quality Management Systems, and proficient working within the guidelines related to said QMS.
• Familiar with CAR/SCAR/NCP processes and ability to maintain logs.
• Familiar with AS9102 First Article documentation as required by customer specifications.
• Experience with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documents.
• Creation and implementation of Inspection Test Plans.
• Record variable inspection data on ITP’s for the purpose of capturing measurement results, proficiency with SPC is required.
• Evaluate and organize quality system documentation.
• Read blueprints. Analyze and apply drawing requirements in various inspection and test situations.
• Determine sample size, selection method and accept/reject criteria for specific situations.
• Use related terms and concepts such as AQL, lot size, sample size, acceptance number, sampling plans, zero-defect sampling, etc.
• Apply Calibration Procedures (Gauge traceability, Calibration status, Report calibration discrepancies, etc.).
• Support proof of process and validations.
• Prepare and use electronic documentation for reporting inspection data.
• Internal calibration of inspection equipment and machinery will be required on occasion, previous experience in this field is mandatory.
• Familiar and comfortable inspecting to and maintaining ± .0002” tolerances.

Qualifications
• CNC shop experience is a MUST.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while successfully managing the demands of multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and symbols.
• Able to understand and apply problem solving methods, statistical sampling, and inspection techniques.
• Strong math skills.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Exceptional work ethic and follow-through skills.
• Exceptional detail orientation needed to maintain 100% accuracy.
• Must be a team player.
